Welcome to Blackville Arts and Market Day

At a Special General Meeting in April 2026, a motion was passed to dissolve the Committee for the Blackville Community Art Show.

This was a difficult decision, but the right one for our committee at this time. Over recent years, a combination of declining volunteer numbers, increasing red tape, and ongoing difficulty sourcing food suppliers has made it increasingly challenging to run the event.

The Blackville Arts and Market Day, in its various forms, has been a very special part of the Blackville community for more than 25 years. It has raised funds to support Blackville Public School and many other important organisations that serve our local community.

Its longevity and reputation are a credit to Blackville and surrounds — to those who worked hard in the early days to establish it, and to everyone who has generously given their time and skills to keep it going over the years.

Most importantly, BAMD has been a wonderful connector for our community, creating opportunities to meet, connect, and get to know our neighbours.

On behalf of the BAMD committee, we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported the event over the years — our talented artists and stallholders, generous sponsors, and the many visitors who made the drive across the Liverpool Plains year after year.
